Signs It’s Time to Work with a Coach (Not Just Read Another Self-Help Book)

You’ve read the books. You’ve saved the podcasts, highlighted the quotes, maybe even bought the journal that was supposed to change everything.

And yet, here you are, still overthinking at 2 a.m., still hearing that inner critic, still stuck in the same loops.

If that sounds familiar, I want you to know something: it doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. It means information alone isn’t enough. Self-help books are great for insight. But insight isn’t the same as change. Change happens when someone helps you apply what you know to your life, your patterns, your brain.

Here are the signs it might be time for that kind of support.

1. You know what to do, but you’re not doing it

You understand anxiety. You know breathing exercises help. You know you should set boundaries, sleep more, and stop procrastinating.

Knowing isn’t the problem. Doing it consistently, especially when you’re stressed, is. A coach helps you close the gap between knowing and doing, with a plan that fits your real life, not a generic one.

2. You keep starting over

Monday routine, new mindset, fresh start. By Thursday, it’s gone.

If you’ve restarted the same habits more times than you can count, the issue usually isn’t discipline. It’s that nobody is helping you figure out why it keeps falling apart. A coach spots those patterns and helps you adjust, so you stop restarting and start progressing.

3. Your anxiety is shaping your decisions

Maybe you avoid certain conversations. Maybe you say no to opportunities because “what if it goes wrong?” Maybe you’ve stayed in situations that don’t serve you because change feels too risky.

When anxiety starts making decisions for you, it’s time to get support. Not because something is “wrong” with you, but because you deserve to choose from clarity, not fear.

4. You’re doing all the thinking alone

Overthinking is exhausting, and it gets worse in isolation. Your thoughts start to feel like facts.

Sometimes what you need most is a calm, objective person who listens without judgment, asks the right questions, and helps you see what you can’t see from the inside.

5. You’re high-functioning on the outside, drained on the inside

You show up. You get things done. People think you’ve got it all together.

But you’re running on tension, perfectionism, or constant pressure to keep up. If you’re succeeding on paper but feeling tired and on edge, that’s a strong sign that support could change how you experience your own life.

6. You want faster, more personalised progress

A book speaks to everyone. A coach speaks to you.

You get tools tailored to your triggers, your goals, and your pace. You also get accountability, which is often the missing piece. Progress that might take years of trial and error can happen much more quickly when you’re guided.

7. You’re ready for something to be different

This is the biggest sign of all. Not that you have everything figured out, but that you’re tired of staying the same and ready to try a different approach.

You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable. Support isn’t a last resort. It’s a smart, proactive choice.

What working together looks like

I’m an anxiety and mindset coach, and my work is practical, warm, and focused on real results. No jargon, no pressure, just clear tools and steady support to help you feel calmer, more confident, and more in control.

Here’s how we can work together:

  • Anxiety Relief: A long-term coaching path designed to help you move from constant overthinking and emotional overwhelm to calm, clarity, and self-trust.
  • Mindset Shift: A long-term coaching path focused on transforming your fixed mindset into a growth-oriented, confident way of thinking and acting.
  • Goal Crusher: A focused, structured coaching program designed to help you move from knowing what you want to consistently achieving it.
  • Single Session: A focused session designed to help you work through a specific block, decision, or situation.
  • Custom Sessions: Coaching sessions on your own terms, no long-term commitment. You define the topic during a free discovery call, and we work together at the pace that feels right for you.

Not sure which one fits you? That’s completely okay. We can figure it out together.

Ready for the next step?

If you recognised yourself in even a few of these signs, it might be time to stop going it alone.

A free discovery call is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we talk about what you’re going through and see if coaching is the right fit. No commitment, just clarity.

✨ You’ve done a lot of the work already. Let’s make it count.

You don’t have to do this alone. 🤍
